Once in a blue moon a video game so pointless and horrific comes along that it instantly comes into contention for Turd of the Year and I think we just came across the winner already. UBERMOSH:OMEGA boggles the mind in every aspect, it seriously makes me wonder why was is it even released, anywhere!?

There is not a plot or explanation as to what is happening once you start the game. Just pick between six different “Saints” and decide on which “perk” you want the character to have, then you are thrown into triangular wasteland arena of endless charging enemies.

There is a timer, life tracker and score meter in the top left corner of the screen. The timer goes down so you are trying to survive the onslaught and get a high score, I suppose. It is so hectic and unclear about what the objective is I still have not found the intention of the game. Most of the characters just fire completely random weapons on their own. Some don’t do anything on their own and pressing random buttons makes them fire weak weapons. The play is a complete mess, certain characters are extremely overpowered firing in all directions while for others it seems to be impossible to survive more than a few seconds. Once you are out of lives the game shoots you right back to the character menu and provides your score with a letter grade. It seems like if you wander past the outside of the triangle for more than a few seconds you automatically lose your run.

The game plays kind of like a twin-stick shooter because you move the character with the left analogue stick and the right analogue stick moves an aiming cursor. However, as I said most the of time characters just fire all over the place on their own OR they do absolutely nothing. There is seriously no rhyme or reason in the gameplay and usually it is over before you even know it.

Visually UBERMOSH:OMEGA is an absolute mess. It looks like a rave threw up on the screen and its nearly impossible to notice any details of the characters in play. Bullets, laser beams and the blood of dead enemies smother the screen making it even harder to simply look at or focus on your player.

Audio is like electronic farts over and over. One of the few options in the game is to just turn the music off entirely and to me, that was the game’s best feature. UBERMOSH:OMEGA looks and sounds UGLY plain and simple. It is like the creator just wanted to make something that shakes and vibrates the screen in order to make the player sick to their stomach over an actual functional video game.

Final Words:

Honestly, I am at a complete loss for this game. It is one of the worst and most pointless titles I have ever played and I get no joy out of saying this. I feel bad having to inform everyone of it but it would be a complete waste of money to get this one especially at $4.99/£4.49. UBERMOSH:OMEGA is one of the worst game I have ever played unfortunately.
