Dead by Daylight – Characters We Want to See Next

Reading Time ~ 3 minutes

Since it’s original release in 2016, Dead by Daylight has picked up a huge following and is now available on all major formats. The concept is simple, either play as a survivor in a team of four to fix five generators and open the gates to safety or play as the killer and hunt down the survivors and sacrifice them on meat hooks before they can escape.

The original base game featured a range if killers and survivors, each with their own perks and abilities and all inspired from classic slasher and horror movie tropes. As the series grew more licensed characters have been added from Michael Myers and Laurie Strode from Halloween complete with a Haddonfield map to Freddy Krueger, Ghostface and recently a Stranger Things pack featuring the Demogorgon, Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler. So as fans of this tension-filled horror fest and in the spirit of the Halloween season, we thought of a few more characters we would like to see added to Dead by Daylight, let’s get started.

It is not hand’s that call him, it is desire. Pinhead could stalk his prey through hell world, placing traps to ensnare survivors with his razor wire while savouring their anguish once placed on a meat hook.

The charming cannibal would manipulate survivors, persuading them to give their friends locations away. Savouring the taste of flesh as he moves in for the kill.

The memorable Jerry Dandridge could use his classic vampire allure to seduce survivors, preventing their ability to run away as he struts across the map to ensnare his victims.

Limping across the map with his axe he would draw on his determination to catch prey and receive speed boosts against unsuspecting survivors. The Overlook Hotel would make a great map too!

The eater of worlds would be terrifying enough just for being a clown at midnight. Tricking survivors with his jovial dancing and red balloons before devouring their souls.

The Demon Barber of fleet street is always in need of some more pie filling. With the power of a close shave, he would add additional bleed damage to survivors making them easier to track on dark nights in Victorian London.

Let us not forget the T-800 is a relentless hunter. Fixed on a single target he can’t be reasoned or bargained with. Using his target location he would gain tracking abilities against a selected target.

Let’s face it, there isn’t much that cant be made scarier by including the menacing presence of a Xenomorph. Able to blend into the shadows and launch strikes without warning, this walking terror will give even the most seasoned survivors the heebie-jeebies.

Whether dancing in a raincoat or running naked with a chainsaw, Patrick Bateman adds style and terror to any situation. If survivors are not fan’s of Phil Collins, they better watch out!

With the recent inclusion of Ash Williams to the survivor list, we think it would be rude not to double-dip on Sam Raimi. The Lamia from Drag Me To Hell can take many forms to surprise unsuspecting survivors.

Everyone enjoys the classics, with DbD already having a great original set of characters inspired by legends of the genre, why not include a haunted house map with the option to play as Wolfman, Dracula, The Mummy and even Frankenstein.
