Reading Time: 3 minutes

This episode starts off with a quick segment of Rhea Ripley arriving in the arena with full confidence for her match against Shayna Baszler.

Right after that, we have our first match with Damian Priest vs BOA. This was an OK match. Priest would win after delivering a cyclone kick followed by his Reckoning finisher.

Following this, Johnny Gargano came to the ring to addresses the WWE Universe on his future. Once Gargano got inside the ring, there was a very long ‘Johnny Wrestling’ chant. Gargano advises there would be no Johnny Wrestling without the fans and that he loves everything about NXT. Before he could make his announcement, Shane Thorne interrupts. He says this place will be just fine without him. He then tells Gargano to take his bow and walk out. While Gargano is about to exit the ring, he says that he is NXT and isn’t going anywhere then delivers a superkick to Thorne.

We then get a quick promo from the Forgotten Sons. They say they are the savages of NXT and will be forgotten no more.

Our next match of the show was Pete Dunne vs Angel Garza. This was a great match. Nothing against Dunne by any means, but Garza could make a match against a paper towel exciting. He is just exploding with charisma. Dunne though would get the win after a hand joint manipulation submission

After that is a segment from the Street Profits. They want a title shot next week during the NXT tv debut.

The next match of the show was Raul Mendoza vs Cameron Grimes. Grimes still seems upset with his loss in the Breakout Tournament Finals. There was some good technical wrestling between the two but Grimes would get the win after delivering his leaping double stomp.

Next we see Candice LeRae storm into Regal’s office. She is upset Io Shirai keeps getting chances. Regal announces that LeRae is added to the #1 contender match. Also, if Ripley wins tonight in the main event, she’ll be added as well for a possible 5-way match to decide the #1 contender for the championship.

The main event is next with Rhea Ripley vs Shayna Baszler. While it lasted, this wasn’t a bad match. But eventually, Baszler’s gang would come to the ring and distract Ripley. Duke would slide a chair in the ring but Ripley would use the chair on Baszler and get disqualified.

The show would come to an end with the Undisputed Era saying they will fulfil their prophecy next week when Roderick Strong beats Velveteen Dream for the NXT North American Championship.

And that wraps it up for the final episode of NXT before moving to 2 hours on the USA Network. Which so far has Dream vs Strong for the North American Championship, Matt Riddle vs Killian Dane in street fight, and a fatal four-way (5 way?) to determine the new #1 contender for the women’s championship. Thanks for reading and long live wrestling!
