File this one under the we’ll believe it when we see it section, but Wrestletalk are reporting that representatives from FOX have approached former WWE Champion CM Punk about the possibility of him hosting their upcoming WWE themed talk show.

Punk has been incredibly vocal about whether he will ever return to the world of professional wrestling, but this opportunity comes with a twist as he wouldn’t actually be working for WWE, as FOX are the ones pulling all the strings in this deal.

Much of the detail from this alleged offer has come from Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter and depending on where you stand on his reporting, this should be taken with a pinch of salt for now. That being said, having chance to critique the current WWE product might just be up Punk’s street.
