Captain Marvel gets a website straight out of the ’90s

Reading Time ~ 1 minute

With Captain Marvel set to release in cinemas globally next month the boffins over at the Studio have treated us to an official website that looks like a throwback to the early days of the internet. During the ’90s the internet was a very different place connected with the power of dial-up which meant loading images would happen in stages like a progress bar, videos would take weeks to play and your mum couldn’t use the phone at the same time – happy memories.

Take a look at the official website here, there’s even a fun game of guess the Skrull to play!

After Nick Fury calls for help in the closing scene of Infinity War on what can only be described as a pager, for the younger among us it was a device to send a version of a text message – sorry WhatsApp or whatever the current thing is. This film goes back in time to the ’90s and follows the story of Carol Danvers (Larson) who becomes one of the universe’s most powerful superheroes when Earth is caught in the middle of an all-out war between two alien races.
