Purl, Smash and Grab, Kitball – Pixar SparkShorts

In January Pixar announced SparkShorts, a new platform designed to find and develop fresh talent in the world of animation. Pixar wanted to give artists the ability to tell all-new stories while having the freedom of being innovative and experimental. As a result, the platform has already released three delightful animated shorts. All three are available to stream right now and for free.

The first offering features a ball of wool called Purl this was followed weeks later by Smash and Grab the story of robotic freedom and finally Kitbull which is what happens when a kitten and pit bull become unlikely friends. Only made available on the February 18th, Kitbull has already tracked over 2.5 million views on YouTube alone. With more shorts planned to arrive soon the SparkShorts platform is looking like it could be the start of something very special.
